A private AI agent you can reach on Telegram

Keep your assistant in the chat app you already use, with a hosted Hermes runtime behind it.

Most AI tools start with another app or browser tab. Hermify connects a hosted Hermes runtime to Telegram, so you can use your assistant in the chat app you already open, while managing its configuration from the dashboard.

Why put an AI agent on Telegram

Telegram lets you reach your assistant through an existing chat workflow instead of another destination to remember.

A private bot and allowed-user list give you a clear boundary around who can interact with the agent.

The runtime remains hosted and configurable through the Hermify dashboard.

Why Telegram for a hosted agent

Telegram provides a bot integration path that works well for a persistent assistant you can message directly.

Hermify focuses on a Telegram setup flow so you can connect the messaging interface without also operating the hosting stack.

What the Telegram setup involves

Sign up, configure your provider, add a Telegram bot token and the allowed user IDs, then complete the hosted deployment. Hermify handles the runtime configuration while you retain control of the bot access list.

Pick the plan that matches whether you want to bring your own provider key or use managed model access.

Connect Telegram

Create a Telegram bot with BotFather and add its token in the dashboard.

Add yourself to allowed users

List the Telegram user IDs that can talk to your assistant. Everyone else is silently rejected.

Keep access private and configuration manageable

Specify the Telegram user IDs that can use the bot. When you need to change the bot token, provider settings, persona, or skills, do it from the dashboard rather than rebuilding a server.

AI agent on Telegram FAQ

Do I need to be technical to set up Telegram?

You do not need to run the hosting stack. You will need a Telegram bot token and the user IDs you want to allow; Hermify guides the hosted runtime setup from there.

Can I use my own bot token?

Yes. If you already have a Telegram bot, paste its token in the dashboard and Hermify will use it.

Does it work in groups?

Telegram configuration is designed around a private bot with an allowed-user list. Review your bot settings and Telegram permissions before using it in any group.

What about voice messages?

Telegram is the messaging interface for the hosted agent. Configure the runtime and supported capabilities from the dashboard for your chosen setup.

Is Telegram secure?

Hermify encrypts stored credentials such as the bot token. Telegram bots are not end-to-end encrypted, so do not use them for information you would not share through a standard Telegram bot conversation.
